Article II

Forms and Documentation

 

Section 1:        Association Forms- The Association shall, from time to time, develop such forms as may be required for the orderly conduct of its business.

 

                        Such forms may be, but not limited to:

1-       Membership application form

2-       Member health statement

3-       Member training record

 

Section 2:        Membership Files- Each individual, already a member or who shall hereafter join the Association, shall have a personal file-folder located in the station office. Said file-folder may contain, but not be limited to, items pertaining to the member such as:

1-       Membership application *

 *(In the case of existing members this will a post-filed document)

2-       Member's health statement

3-       Member's local training record

4-       Individual school attendance certificates

 

Section 3:        Record Maintenance- It is the responsibility of the Secretary to maintain Association records, and for the Chief and/or Training Officer to maintain training records.

 

Section 3:        Retention of information- Information that has been placed in each member's personal file shall be retained for a period of five years after the resignation, or death, of the member. After the required retention, if no legal inquiry exists, the file maybe destroyed.

 

 

 

Article III

Association Equipment & Property

 

Section 1:        Use of Association Property- Use of Association property, such as tables, chairs, etc, for personal use is permitted by members of the Association provided:

 

1-       The items are not needed for an Association Function, and

2-       Items must be signed out by an Association member, and

3-       During the absence of the items, be under the control of said member, and

4-       Returned in like condition as when borrowed.

 

Section 2:        Use of Fire Department Equipment or property- Use of items that are normally considered emergency response equipment maybe used under special conditions with the authorization of the Chief on a case-by-case basis. If used away from the station, the items shall be utilized and returned as rapidly as possible.

 

                        Such permissible use considerations would be equipment displays for fire prevention, personal-assigned bunker equipment and/or SCBA for training at an area, regional, or state fire class.

 

                        Any equipment so utilized shall be returned back in duty in a response ready condition.
